ROUTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR 6TO4 NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a routing apparatus and a method capable of selecting a route by taking into consideration both the topology of the IPv6 network and the topology of the IPv4 network, in a network system where the IPv6 network and the IPv4 network coexist. SOLUTION: The routing apparatus is used in a 6to4 relay router which connects a native IPv6 network with a 6to4 network, and for selecting a route via the native IPv6 network and the 6to4 network. The routing apparatus comprises an information collector for collecting the routing information of the native IPv6 network, a message generating section for generating a message including the collected routing information, and a message transmitter for transmitting the generated message to a 6to4 router of the 6to4 network.
