SHEET MATERIAL-ATTACHING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely attach an adhesive sheet material, such as a sticker, cushioning material, or functional film, without occurrence of an air bubble, wrinkle, or the like, to a predetermined part of an item to which the adhesive sheet material is to be attached. SOLUTION: Each of a series of sheet materials 7 stuck on mount paper 6 is peeled from the mount paper 6 in the position of a peeling edge 5 by an attaching head 10, which holds the underside of the sheet material 7 and is directly movable between the peeling edge 5 and the item 30 to which the sheet material 7 is to be attached. The attaching head 10 holding the sheet material 7 is moved to the item 30 to which it is to be attached. Then, the sheet material 7 held on the attaching head 10 is attached to a predetermined part of the item 30. In this case, the attaching head 10 has a sheet material-holding face 20 rotatable around a support shaft 13 and having an adhesive layer formed in the shape of an arc. In synchronization with winding the mount paper 6 while the sheet material-holding face 20 is kept in contact with the one end of the sheet material 7 attached to the mount paper 6, the sheet material holding face 20 peels the sheet material 7 from the mount paper 6 by moving on the sheet material 7 so that it is stuck and held on the sheet material-holding face 20.
