APPARATUS AND METHOD OF PACKAGING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of packaging which enables it to perform easily a restoration when the alignment of a liquid crystal panel becomes impossible in a packaging unit. SOLUTION: The apparatus of packaging includes a plurality of packaging units 1A-1D which mount a circuit substrate at each side of the liquid crystal panel; a panel supply 12 which supplies the liquid crystal panel to the packaging unit of the uppermost upstream; an unloading unit 38 by which the liquid crystal panel mounted with the circuit substrate is discharged in the packaging unit of the lowermost downstream; a conveying mechanism in which the liquid crystal panel is conveyed in the unloading part after the liquid crystal panel is sequentially conveyed from the upstream side packaging unit one by one to the downstream side packaging unit, and the circuit substrate is mounted at a plurality of the sides of the liquid crystal panel; and a controller which, when the packaging of the substrate to the liquid crystal panel becomes impossible by either of the plurality of the packaging units, while the liquid crystal panel is conveyed to the unloading part according to the conveying mechanism, if the packaging of the substrate to the liquid crystal panel becomes possible, the liquid crystal panel is returned to the packaging unit whose packaging of the substrate becomes impossible according to the conveying mechanism.
