Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device in which no ring is formed on a target irradiation surface and the luminescenct color is invariant in all directions. SOLUTION: In the light emitting device comprising a light emitting element including a semiconductor light emitting element chip and a phosphor layer covering it, and a lens and outputting light emitted from the light emitting element through the lens, luminescenct color of the light emitting element has luminous intensity distribution angle dependency. Distance between the light emitting element and the lens and curvature distribution of exit surface are set such that the luminescenct color of light outputted from a target irradiation surface at a predetermined distance from the lens while passing the lens becomes uniform based on that luminous intensity distribution angle dependency.
