Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PDP having no gap between a substrate on the opposed side and a barrier rib by extinguishing a phosphor paste or a phosphor adhered on the crowning of the barrier rib. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing of a plasma display panel having a phosphor layer between barrier ribs on one substrate, the phosphor paste or the phosphor on the crowning of the barrier ribs adhered in the process of forming the phosphor layer is extinguished by irradiation of laser beam.
