Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage width adjustable type plate material storage frame and its assembly method for assembling easily, for matching the phase of a pinion and a rack easily in assembling and for always moving a movable side plate in parallel relative to a fixed side plate. SOLUTION: This storage width adjustable type plate material storage frame is provided with a fixed side plate 5 between a top plate 2 and a bottom plate 3, a movable side plate 6 able to be moved in parallel relative to the plate 5 and fixed at a desired position, a pinion positioned near the four corners of the plate 6, guide rails 11A, 11B provided on the inside face of the plate 2 and the plate 3 and formed by racks 17 and 18 engaging with each of the pinions, a boss part formed protruding near each of the pinions of the plate 6, a groove 14 where each boss part is inserted formed near the arranged position of the side plate 5 of the plate 2 and the plate 3, and a communicating channel communicating with each groove 14 and through which the boss part passes when the plate 6 moves.
