SOLUTION: This axle housing assembly 12 includes a steel pipe 46 having a socket 70 formed close to a first end part 48 of the steel pipe 46. The socket 70 is disposed to roughly cross the lengthwise axis of the steel pipe 46. The axle housing assembly 12 also includes an insertion part 72 connected to the socket 70. The insertion part 72 of steel connects the steel pipe 46 to a carrier housing 30 of steel as a steel plug 68 disposed in the carrier housing 30 is welded with the insertion part 72 of steel.
