SYSTEM FOR UTILIZING BIOMASS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for utilizing biomass in which problems in protected horticulture are solved and at the same time, prevention of global warming by discharge suppression of carbon dioxide, effective utilization of resources and reduction of wastes are made possible by combining facilities for protected horticulture with carbonization and gasification treatment facilities. SOLUTION: The system is equipped with a carbonizing furnace 13 for producing a carbonized product 14 and a degradation gas 15 by carrying out carbonization and gasification treatment of a wood-based biomass 10, a waste heat boiler 16 for burning the degradation gas 15 and recovering heat energy, facilities 50 for protected horticulture for carrying out culture of plants under conditions in which culturing environment is controlled by partition from the outside. In the system, a combustion discharge gas 39 discharged from the waste heat boiler 16 is introduced into the facilities 50 for protected horticulture and CO2concentration in the facilities 50 for protected horticulture is preferably detected and combustion discharge gas introduction amount is controlled based on the detected CO2concentration.
