PTC CIRCUIT PROTECTIVE DEVICE HAVING PARALLEL EFFECTIVE RESISTANCE REGIONS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) circuit protective device for protecting electronic equipment from an excessive temperature and current. SOLUTION: This device 100 comprises a polymer resistive element 102, a first electrode 104, and a second electrode 106; and changes the electric resistance thereof in response to the temperature. The resistive element 102 has an upper surface and a lower surface, the first electrode 104 is electrically in contact with both of the upper surface and the lower surface, and the second electrode 106 is electrically in contact with both of the upper surface and the lower surface. The circuit protective device 100 has a first effective resistance region and a second effective resistance region, and they are electrically connected with each other in parallel.
