Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary water heater capable of being miniaturized and reducing its cost. SOLUTION: This auxiliary water heater 20 mounted in a pipe 14 connecting a water heater 10 for supplying the hot water heated to a prescribed temperature, and a water faucet 11 discharging at least the hot water, further comprises a hot water storage tank 21 having an introducing portion 22 connected with the pipe 14, and a discharging portion 23 connected with a side of the water faucet 11, a heat insulating means (band heater 27 and thermostat 28) for keeping the water stored in the hot water storage tank 21 warm at a prescribed temperature, and a heat insulating member 29 of a vacuum double structure composed of an inner material (inner metallic material 30) surrounding the circumference of the hot water storage tank 21 and an outer material (outer metallic material 35).
