Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable combustion, by optimally setting the valve opening timing of two intake valves. SOLUTION: One cylinder has the intake valves 9 and 10. The valve opening timing of the second intake valve 10 is set in a range of ±30 [°CA] to the valve opening timing of the first intake valve 9, and a maximum lift quantity L2max is set to 1/9 or more of a maximum lift quantity L1max of the first intake valve 9. As a result, the stable combustion can be provided by generating strong turbulence in combustion, by generating one or several vertical vortexes, by being superimposed on suction air supplied from the first intake valve 9 side by suction air supplied from the second intake valve 10 side.
