Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker shortening a cooking time and providing cooked rice with favorable cooked state. SOLUTION: This rice cooker rotationally turns an approximately triangular inner pot 10 storing cooking objects to change the area of the bottom part of the inner pot 10. That is to say, in a soaking process, the area of the bottom of the inner pot 10 is expanded to allow respective grains of the rice to separately position from one another, increase the area of the grains coming into contact with water to improve their water absorbing speed and make their center part sufficiently absorb water; and in a cooking process, the area of the bottom of the inner pot 10 is narrowed and heated to cook the rice at a high heating power, retain the boiling state without boiling over, make the rice further absorb water in a short time, transfer β starch of the rice to α starch and gelatinize the rice. In the last steaming process, the area of the bottom of the inner pot 10 is expanded again to increase the contact with the pot bottom face and extract excessive water in a short period of time.
