Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a porous separator for a fuel cell capable of reducing the deformation in main molding. SOLUTION: A kneaded material comprising thermosetting resin and a carbonaceous material (graphite) is molded in a preliminary molding 9, and it is interposed between a lower die 1 and an upper die 2 which are a metallic heating fixture, and preliminarily heated with a high temperature bath 10 for preliminary heating. The preliminary molding 9 is molded in the separator 11 by being pressed as the main molding with a heating press. The positioning of the preliminary molding in preliminary heating is conducted with the lower die 1 and the upper die 2 which are the metallic heating fixture, and a positioning part prescribing the thickness of the separator in the main molding is installed.
