Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high melting point stereocomplex polylactic acid of a high molecular weight and high crystallinity, excellent in molding processability, and to provide its production process, its composition and its molded article. SOLUTION: This stereocomplex polylactic acid comprises (1) a polylactic acid unit A with >99 to 100 mol% L-lactic acid unit and a polylactic acid unit B with 90-99 mol% D-lactic acid unit; or (2) a polylactic acid unit C with >99 to 100 mol% D-lactic acid unit and a polylactic acid unit D with 90-99 mol% L-lactic acid unit, where A and B, or C and D, are each in a specific weight ratio, has a weight-averaged molecular weight of 100,000-500,000, and the ratio of the melting peak ≥205°C is ≥80% among melting peaks in the course of the temperature-raising process in the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurement.
