Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding circuit which excludes a television tuner circuit when the reception state of a television broadcast radio wave is inferior, a liquid crystal display unit, and a mobile terminal which turns off a power circuit to reduce power consumption and informs a user of the reception state of the television radio wave to eliminate user's misrecognition and a feeling of anxiety. SOLUTION: A TV reception section 5 measures the reception intensity of the TV radio wave and sends out a reception intensity signal 5a to a control section 3. The control section 3 checks whether the reception intensity signal 5a has a value larger than a designated value at which generally excellent video is obtained as a TV received image and turns on a power-on/off section 9 when supplying electric power to a decoder 6, an LCD controller 7 and an LCD display section 8. When the reception intensity signal 5a does not have the value larger than the designated value, the power-on/off section 9 is turned off to stop power supply and the kind of the display of the LED display section 4 is controlled according to the reception intensity signal 5a to display the video at the LED display section 4.
