ANTIALGAL AGENT AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE ANTIALGAL AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antialgal agent capable of being used as a dye for a fishery cultivation net or rope, fishery implements of a ship, etc., and as a coating for being applied thereto, and to provide a method for forming the same. SOLUTION: This antialgal agent is formed by together mixing charcoal fine particles and an antialgal base comprising a nitrogen-based or copper-based synthetic resin solvent under vacuum suction. The antialgal agent has strong penetrating and retained power of the antialgal base in voids of the charcoal fine particles, so that antialgal action is kept for a long time. The agent is used for dyeing the cultivation net, etc., is applied to the ship as the coating, decreases adhesion and propagation of marine algae for a long period, and increases durability of the fishery implements by inhibiting decay thereof. The agent is decreased in toxicity or noxiousness, even when used for the long period. Further, the agent is made to be gradually dissolved for the long period, because the synthetic resin solvent makes the agent scarcely dissolved or dispersed. Therefore, the adhesion of the marine algae, barnacles, etc., to the fishery implements is avoided, so that the propagation thereof is prevented or reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
