Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material which can have sound insulation properties (sound insulation, sound absorption), fire prevention and fire resistance, lightweight nature, outstanding compression and tensile strength (outstanding plastic deformation nature), moisture permeability or the like, and which can be used also as a structure proof strength surface material. SOLUTION: The composite material is made by integrally laminating a wood based plate or sheet material or a metal sheet material with an inorganic based plate or sheet whose amount of distortion plastic deformation increases even if cross-head speed increases from 5 mm/minute to 50 mm/minute in a three-point bending test. Preferably, at least wood based one plate or sheet material is integrally laminated with at least one inorganic plate or sheet material using an adhesive. As a woody plate or sheet material, wood, veneer, plywood, a particle board, or a fiber board is mentioned. On the other hand, as an inorganic plate or sheet material, unexpanded vermiculite is blended with a substrate, the blending quantity is 3-70 mass% based on the total composition (solid content), and the molded article of the composition is preferable.
