PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder capable of intermittently supplying a cleaning liquid and supplying a cleaning liquid to adhered ink at an adequate timing. SOLUTION: A time period for conveying a conveyance belt 8 by a predetermined distance is synchronized with a cycle of a rotary body 40. A cleaning liquid is intermittently supplied on the conveyance belt 8 by the action of the rotary body 40. A timing for supplying a paper sheet depending on the rotational position of the rotary body 40 is controlled by a process for supplying the paper sheet, the paper sheets are placed on the conveyance belt 8 at predetermined intervals and a flushing region is formed at a portion (which is not occupied with the paper sheet) on the conveyance belt 8 between the paper sheets. It is possible to form the position of the flushing region on a position to which a rotating sponge member 41 is abutted. By applying the flushing treatment to the formed flushing region, the cleaning liquid can be intermittently supplied to only the flushed ink. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
