PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device capable of outputting a white color having color shading smaller than that of a conventional device. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor light-emitting device 100, the light-emitting device 100 has a semiconductor light-emitting element 110 and a phosphor 120 coating the semiconductor light-emitting element 110, and the semiconductor light-emitting element 110 has a first light-emitting output and a second light-emitting output having a luminous output higher than the first light-emitting output. In the semiconductor light-emitting device 100, a distance from the first light-emitting output to the thinnest section of the film thickness of the phosphor 120 is made shorter than that from the second light-emitting output, for the semiconductor light-emitting element 110 to the thinnest section of the film thickness of the phosphor 120 in the parallel direction to the main light-emitting surface of the semiconductor light-emitting element 110.
