LIPASE INHIBITOR COMPOSED OF SAFFLOWER RED PIGMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition or a medicine composition containing a safflower red pigment and having lipase-inhibiting effect thereby in order to exhibit inhibitory action on pancreatic lipase involving excess digestive absorption of exogenous lipids taken in a living body by meal and suppress accumulation of lipids into the body by the pancreatic lipase-inhibiting action and suppress and prevent obesity as a result. SOLUTION: The lipase inhibitor comprises a safflower red pigment containing carthamine, obtained by carrying out fermentation or enzymatic treatment of water extraction liquid of flower of safflower and then removing a yellow pigment by water, as a main ingredient.
