Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor for a water quality of sewage provided so as to allow the water quality of the sewage to be regularly monitored, allowing maintenance of a normal condition almost without being affected by rising water in an abnormal rainfall such as a typhoon or the like, and further making work of maintenance, inspection and the like easy. SOLUTION: The monitor 1 for water quality is to detect the water quality of the sewage 3 flowing in a conduit 2 to communicate to a monitor base 4. The monitor 1 includes a manhole cover 6 covering an opening of a manhole 5 communicating to the conduit 2, a sensor 7 mounted in the conduit 2 or the manhole 5 to detect the water quality of the sewage flowing in the conduit 2, and communication means 9 connected to the sensor 7 through a cable 8 to communicate to the monitor base 4. The manhole cover 6 is formed by a double structure of an inner cover 6a and an outer cover 6b, the cable 8 connected to the sensor 7 is movably passed through a through-hole formed on the inner cover 6a of the manhole cover 6 and drawn out in the space part between the inner cover 6a and the outer cover 6b, and forms a slack part 8a in the space part.
