VEHICLE WIDTH LINE DISPLAY POSITION ADJUSTING METHOD AND IMAGE DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and easily adjust the display position of a width line to be superimposed on the photographic image of an on-vehicle camera. SOLUTION: A pair of markers are set with an interval equivalent to vehicle width at a reference position on a road surface, and its own vehicle is moved from the reference position to the front. Then, when the moving distance of its own vehicle reaches a preliminarily set target distance, the image of a road surface in which a pair of markers are included is photographed by a back view monitor camera 1, and the display position coordinates on the picture of a display 9 of the markers are recognized. This processing is repeatedly performed for each of a plurality of preliminarily set target distances, and when the processing for all the target distances ends, the recognized display position coordinates of the markers for each of the target distances are arranged in the order of the shorter target distance, and a line connecting those display position coordinates is prepared as a new width line.
