LENS UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain backlash at a screw mechanism part in a lens unit attached through the screw mechanism. SOLUTION: A male screw 15 is formed on the outside diameter part of a lens barrel 4 and is screwed in a female screw 11 formed in the mount hole 10 of a holder 2. By turning the lens barrel 4 with respect to the holder 2, a lens 3 is moved in an optical axis direction by the screw mechanism (female screw 11 and male screw 15), so as to change a focal distance to an imaging device assembled in the holder 2. A rib for adjustment 20 is integrally molded in the root thread part 15B of the male screw 15 and butted on the ridge part of the female screw 11 of the holder 2. Thus, the lens barrel 4 maintains proper tightening torque to the holder 2 without causing the backlash in the optical axis direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
