Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus in which lowering of image density does not occur even when long-time continuous paper transport is carried out in a low humidity environment with an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a surface layer comprising a curable resin excellent in durability. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic apparatus has: an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a support and a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating material and a charge transport material on the support, wherein a surface layer is a layer containing a curable resin; a corona charging device; an exposure device for forming an electrostatic latent image by irradiating a surface of the electrophotographic photoreceptor with exposure light; a developing device for developing the electrostatic latent image with toner; and a transfer device for transferring a toner image on the surface onto a transfer material. The electrophotographic apparatus further has: a humidity detecting means to detect the absolute humidity (x [kg/kg]) of the external environment of the electrophotographic apparatus; and a control means to control the surface temperature (y[°C]) of the electrophotographic photoreceptor so that the value z in an expression: z=y+3951.1x (1) satisfies 33.5≤z≤55.
