Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect an object to be detected, having a large temperature difference between itself and the background, in a compound-eye type security sensor system, equipped with a signal processing means which derives information regarding the sizes of heat source bodies. SOLUTION: A human body detector is provided, which uses the compound-eye type security sensor system, wherein a plurality twin-array of pyroelectric elements are arranged vertically for detecting movements of the heat source body along the horizontal direction in a time difference fashion, and which has the signal processing means for deriving information about the size of the heat source body from a plurality of outputs, such as the outputs of upper-side pyroelectric elements and the outputs of lower-side pyroelectric elements. In the human body detector, a nonlinear amplifier is adopted as an amplifier for amplifying the outputs of the pyroelectric elements, which makes its gain large when the inputs are small and makes its gain small when the inputs are large.
