SOLUTION: The recording material comprises at least a base material and an ink receiving layer, wherein the ink receiving layer contains bacterial cellulose and at least two types of polysaccharides. At least one type of the polysaccharides has a weight average molecular weight of less than 100,000, and at least one type of the polysaccharides has a weight average molecular weight of 150,000 or more.
