Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the residual amount of liquid reduced to a predetermined amount or lower. SOLUTION: This device comprises a liquid detecting chamber 33 provided with a liquid inlet communicating with an external liquid storing part having liquid stored therein and a liquid outlet communicating with a liquid consuming device, a moving member 34 moved in response to a liquid surface level in the liquid sensor chamber 33, recesses 33b, 41a forming a closed space in cooperation with the wall surface of the moving member 34 under a state when the moving member 34 is moved to a predetermined position in response to the liquid surface level, and a piezoelectric detecting means 40 for applying vibration to the recesses and detecting a free vibrating state accompanying the vibration.
