FUEL FILTER AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel filter which can prevent a filter element from swelling caused by fuel and deforming caused by vibration from an automobile or pulsation of the fuel or a heat cycle of the fuel, and also can prevent a joint between the filter element and an end plate from being damaged, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: In this fuel filter, a reinforcing member is put into an inner tube groove of an inner tube, both end parts in a peripheral direction of an axis of the filter element are fixed to the reinforcing member and both axis end parts of the filter element and the reinforcing member in respective axis directions are joined to a pair of end plates. Further in the production method of the fuel filter, both end parts in the peripheral direction of the axis of the filter element are fixed to the reinforcing member in a 1st process and then the both axis end parts of the filter element, the reinforcing member and the inner tube in respective axis directions are joined to a pair of end plates in a 3rd process.
