METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SOUND ABSORBING MAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a sound absorbing mat at low manufacturing cost, capable of utilizing a conventional manufacturing device without requiring an additional adhesive or without a risk of falling of pile from a base material in the process of manufacture. SOLUTION: First, one surface 12a, fused by a burner 20, of a nonwoven fabric 12 is made to abut to the rear surface of the base material 11a of a carpet 11, and the surfaces are pressure-bonded by a roller 30, Next, the other surface 12b of the nonwoven fabric 12 is softened by a burner 40 and the surfaces 12a and 12b are naturally cooled, so that the surface 12a is hardened. Then, the carpet 11 and the nonwoven fabric 12 are bonded to each other, and the other surface 12b is contracted to form unevenness.
