PHOTOGRAPHING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required to record image data while suppressing power consumption. SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing device 1 has a power saving mode and a non power saving mode both prepared as power modes when a camera mode is set. The power saving mode is a mode where the number of revolutions of a disk 2 is set lower than that when data are recorded and an optical head is brought into an out-of-focus state. The non power saving mode is a mode where the number of revolutions of the disk 2 is set to that when data are recorded, and a focus of the optical head is locked and the optical head is brought into a state that data can be recorded. When a user does not operate a shutter button, the power saving mode is set, and when a user pushes the shutter button by half, the non power saving mode is set.
