Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low price organic EL light emitting apparatus which is superior in uniformity of film thickness of a light emitting part and also in, as a result, light emitting characteristic as the simplified organic EL element structure not requiring a separation wall in formation of the organic EL thin film using the printing method. SOLUTION: In an active light emitting apparatus comprising a plurality of thin film transistors formed on a substrate and a light emitting element driven with such thin film transistors, a lower electrode of the light emitting element is allocated in the region not overlapping with the region where a plurality of thin film transistors are formed, this lower electrode is smaller than a light emitting layer of the light emitting element, and the lower electrode is connected with a plurality of thin film transistors at the lower part of the relevant lower electrode.
