Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head positioner which accomplishes highly stable head positioning suppressing occurrence of vibration and reduces frequency of displacement of fine actuators to prevent characteristic deterioration of the fine actuators. SOLUTION: The head positioner includes a plurality of recording/reproducing heads for accessing a plurality of coaxial information recording disks, a plurality of micromotion actuators which finely displace the heads, a plurality of head supporting mechanisms for supporting the micromotion actuators, and a coarse motion actuator for simultaneously driving the plurality of head supporting mechanisms. The head positioner is configured to control the fine actuators so that each of corresponding heads follows up a target track based on a head position signal read from the disk by each of the heads, a median value is selected out of relative displacement values of the fine actuators, and the coarse motion actuator is controlled according to the selected median value.
