HOLOGRAM RECORDING DEVICE AND HOLOGRAM RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording device with which the diffraction components due to an internal structure of a diffraction control element constituting a one-dimensional space optical modulator are reduced, and a hologram recording medium. SOLUTION: The diffracted light included in the signal light modulated by the one-dimensional space optical modulator and due to the arrangement of a phase control element is shielded. The diffraction components due to the internal structure of the diffraction control element can thereby be reduced. Consequently, the increase of the recording capacity of the hologram recording medium and the reduction of the noise of the reproduction signal during reproduction of the hologram recording medium are made possible.
