EXPANDED BAND OF FLEXIBLE JOINT FOR MANHOLE AND CONNECTION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an expanded band capable of providing a stabilized connection state without depending on a wall thickness of a manhole or a diameter of a bore or the like in a connection of the bore section of the manhole and a cylindrical flexible joint. SOLUTION: The expanded band 1 used for the connection of the bore section of the manhole and the cylindrical flexible joint is provided. The expanded band 1 is equipped with a circular member 2 formed by a rod-like body 2A having an approximately circular section and a diameter widening means 3 widening a diameter of the circular member 2. The circular member 2 has a cutting section 2B in at least one place. The circular member 2 has a curved shape so as to parallel with the inside of the bore section of the manhole. The expanded band 1 enlarges a gap of the cutting section 2B of the circular member 2 by the diameter widening means 3, and the circular member 2 is made to widen the diameter. When the diameter is widened, the expanded band 1 is made to fit a stopper 3B into the gap of the cutting section 2B of the circular member 2 in a rigid guide 3A, and an expanded state is fixed to curve to an upper side toward a plane C.
