LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION AND DRIVE-TRANSMITTING DEVICE BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubrication oil composition exhibiting sufficient abrasion resistance and stick slip prevention even on using it in a driving power-transmitting device having sliding members consisting mainly of iron and further capable of maintaining these characteristics at high levels for a long period. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition comprises a lubricating oil base oil, a phosphorus compound, an alkaline earth metal sulfonate and at least 1 kind of an organic acid salt selected from an alkaline earth metal fenate and alkaline earth metal salicylate, and the contents of the phosphorus compound and organic salt each satisfies requirements expressed by the following formulae (1)-(3). 0.01≤W(P)≤0.2---(1), 0.01≤W(M)≤0.2---(2), 0.1≤W(P)/W(M)≤10---(3) [wherein, W(P) is the content of the phosphorus compound expressed by converting to phosphorus element, based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition; and W(M) is the content of the organic acid salt expressed by converting to the alkaline earth metal element, based on the total amount of the lubricating oil composition].
