WIRE SAW AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire saw in which a plurality of beads provided with ultra abrasive grain layers on outer peripheries of cylindrical base metals of are inserted through a wire rope and bonded and secured to the wire rope with covering members and in which the wire rope is hard to break and capable of extensively restraining deflection in the middle of cutting and stably cutting and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A coil spring is provided on an outer periphery of the wire rope between the beads, the covering members are provided in a clearance between the coil spring and the wire rope and on an outer periphery of the coil spring, and shaft centers of three of the wire rope, the beads and the coil spring are kept in a circumference of a radius of 0.1mm. Rubber is injected and vulcanized in a state of fixing the wire rope and the beads by a die in a process of forming the covering member as the manufacturing method. Favorably, it is carried out in a state of providing a projection in the die and pressing down the coil spring with this projection to elastically deform the same. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
