Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type separator for a fuel cell with an excellent gas-sealing property. SOLUTION: Gas-barrier coatings C are selectively arranged at non-conductive sites 33, 41 needing no conductivity. The separator is formed from a pulverized molding material obtained by mixing graphite and resin. The separator is formed by pressurizing and compressing the molding material. The non-conductive sites include concave inner faces of flow channel grooves. The gas barrier coating is either a painted film or an evaporated film. The gas barrier coatings are selectively arranged so that the sites needing conductivity can be left by removing the gas barrier coatings.
