Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for grinding processing of end faces of optical fibers and to sufficiently reduce splicing loss of light quantity. SOLUTION: An optical connector is equipped with a ferrule 1 in which splicing terminals of optical fibers are inserted to be joined. The optical connector is characterized in that an insertion part 112 in which the splicing terminals of the optical fibers are inserted is provided at a side opposite to the joining surface of the ferrule 1, and optical fibers 5 for relay whose end faces are subjected to grinding processing are housed on axial lines of the insertion part 112 at the side of the joining surface of the ferrule 1.
