THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin composition which is mainly composed of a polyphenylene ether resin and a polypropylene resin, exhibits good external appearances, mechanical strength and solvent resistance, and is particularly excellent in heat ageing resistance. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a resin component comprised of 5-95 wt% of the polyphenylene ether resin (A) and 95-5 wt% of the polypropylene resin (B) and, incorporated therewith, 1-50 pts.wt. of a compatibility-improving agent (C), where the polyphenylene ether resin (A) has a copper content of at most 0.2 ppm and intrinsic viscosity of 0.3-0.6 dL/g.
