Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysiloxane that has a very narrowly controlled molecular weight distribution as well as a sufficiently high molecular weight as a polymer. SOLUTION: This polysiloxane has a weight average molecular weight [Mw] of larger than 2500, and a molecular weight distribution, namely a ratio of the weight average molecular weight [Mw] to the number average molecular weight [Mn], that is to say, Mw/Mn is 1.0 to 2.5. The polysiloxane can be obtained by carrying out the hydrolytic reaction-polycondensation reaction of an alkoxysilane and/or a chlorosilane continuously under the basic condition.
