Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion of a metal oxide having ultraviolet light-absorbing power which is excellent in dispersion stability of a coating and transparency of a coating film. SOLUTION: The coating composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a metal oxide having ultraviolet light-absorbing power and a specific surface area by nitrogen adsorption process (BET method) of 30-160 m2/g, 5-50 pts.wt. of a dispersing resin, 5-95 pts. of a coating film-forming material selected from a silicon alkoxide compound, a metal alkoxide compound, and an active energy ray-curable resin or monomer and a solvent, wherein, when a dry film having a thickness of 2-5 μm is formed from the composition, it has a haze of 1% or less.
