MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR PRESS-MOLDED PRODUCT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a press-molded product and a manufacturing method for a terminal capable of plating over almost the whole of a part at a low cost without requiring a complicated process and complicated and highly precise parts management. SOLUTION: When a connector terminal for a connector surface mounted on a substrate is manufactured, firstly, a plating process is applied to a plate surface of a plate material S which is not plated. Secondly, the plate material S after the pre-plating process is punched by press work to form a work piece W connected in a comb shape (chain shape). When punching the plate material S after the pre-plating process, a part of plated layer M of the pre-plated part of the plate surface of the plate material S is dragged forcibly to (in a punching direction) a punched cut side surface part to be expanded, and the punched cut side surface part is also mechanically plated. Thereby, almost the whole of the work piece W (the plate material surface part W1 and the punched cut side surface part W2) is plated after press work (after punching the plate material).
