Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal material injection apparatus with which a liquid crystal material is injected between a pair of substrates without incurring mixing of any foreign matter or air therein and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device using the apparatus. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal material injection apparatus 10 comprises a liquid crystal material reservoir portion 11 and a cell loading portion 12. The liquid crystal material reservoir portion 11 has a groove 13 for storing foreign matters on the deepest section, which stores the foreign matters mixed in the liquid crystal material 50. The liquid crystal material 50 filled in the liquid crystal material reservoir portion 11 protrudes to the height of an auxiliary spring 40 for injection by the action of the surface tension, is brought into contact with a liquid crystal material injection port 62 of the cell 60, and is injected into the cell 60 via the liquid crystal material injection port 62.
