Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent electrification characteristics. SOLUTION: A proximity electrification roller 1 is proximately arranged on the surface of an image holder 2; and a contact 1a is contacted on both ends of the outside of an effective electrification region 2a with the image holder 2 to keep a proximity distance between the peripheral face of the proximity electrification region roller 1 and the image holder 2 constant, since the effective electrification region 2a is uniformly electrified. A cleaning roller 9 is longer than the separation distance of the contacts 1a of both the ends, and contacted on the contacts 1a of both the ends to be pushed by prescribed push force in a direction of the image holder 2. In addition, the surface of the cleaning roller 9 is formed of a soft material, and it cleans the surface region of the proximity electrification roller 1 between the contacts 1a of both the ends.
