BEATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten a beating movement in a loom for bias weaving. SOLUTION: The beating device of the loom for the bias weaving wherein the cloth fell crosses with the warp direction at an acute angle comprises a rocking shaft, a plurality of first swinging levers, a plurality of swing-transmitting devices, and a plurality of first connecting members. The rocking shaft is extended in the weft-insertion direction and rotates angularly. The first swinging levers are arranged at an interval in the weft-insertion direction so as to have axes crossing the rocking shaft at acute angles in the view from the upper or lower direction, and supported by a frame so as to be angularly rotated around the axes. The swing-transmitting devices are installed in each of the first swinging levers, and convert the angular rotation of the rocking shaft to the angular rotation of the first swinging levers. The first connecting members are installed in each of the first swinging levers, are axially supported by the first swinging levers, and axially support sleys in the axis direction crossing the direction of the axis axially supported by the first swinging levers.
