SOLUTION: The composition for inhibiting the platelet aggregation and thrombus formation contains fruits, fruit juice or seeds of Xanthium strumarium L. or their extracts. Preferably, the extracts of fruits, fruit juice or seeds of Xanthium strumarium L. are extracted from fruits, fruit juice or seeds of Xanthium strumarium L. with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of water, a base, an acid, a hydrophilic solvent and acetone.
