Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase collection efficiency of PM without causing lowering of power performance of an engine. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a discharge electrode 5 charging particulate matter contained in the exhaust gas 3 of the diesel engine, an electrostatic precipitator 1 having dust collection electrodes 4 collecting charged particulate matter, a separation means 13 separating particulate matter collected by the dust collection electrodes 4 and retaining from the dust collection electrodes 4, and a cyclone type classifying collection means 2 classifying and collecting particulate matter separated from the dust collection electrodes 4.
