SOLUTION: The solenoid drive drives the solenoid L by supplying the solenoid L with exciting currents intermittently. The solenoid drive comprises a first current switching element 1 which switches on or off to pass or stop exciting currents supplied to the solenoid L; a circulation current means 3 which is connected to the first current switching element 1 and allows circulation currents generated from accumulated energy of the solenoid L to flow, when exciting current supply to the solenoid L is stopped by the first current switching element 1; and a second current switching element 2 which is arranged between a point connecting the first current switching element to the circulation current means and the solenoid, and switches on or off to pass or stop exciting currents and circulation currents.
