Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image file reproducing system allowed to be easily operated by anyone and having excellent stability. SOLUTION: As shown in Fig.1, the image file reproducing system comprises a recording medium such as a CD-R10 in which image files and a viewer capable of reading the image files are recorded and an image reproducing apparatus such as a personal computer 1 constituted so as to display the image files by reading out the contents of the recording medium and automatically executing the viewer. The viewer to be executed is the one copied from a recording medium being inserted into the image reproducing apparatus or a recording medium inserted before that to a storage device such as a hard disk built in the image reproducing apparatus. Thereby even when the recording medium is ejected due to user's operation miss or the like during the execution of the viewer, a situation that the image reproducing apparatus is hung up can be evaded.
