Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an alumina-germanium ceramic composition and an alumina-germanium ceramic sintered compact, which elute germanium ions when they are brought into contact with water; and to provide a showerhead using the alumina-germanium ceramic sintered compact. SOLUTION: The alumina-germanium ceramic composition contains, by weight, 60.0-90.0% alumina powder, 10-40% germanium oxide powder and 10-20% silicon dioxide powder. The alumina-germanium ceramic sintered compact is obtained by firing the alumina-germanium ceramic composition. In the showerhead 10 having a water-introducing port 16, an ejecting port 30 and a water flow passage formed between the water-introducing port 16 and the ejecting port 30, the alumina-germanium ceramic sintered compact 34 is arranged on the way of the water flow passage.
